Our Wedding
On January 30, 2016 I married the love of my life in our dream wedding. When I was a little girl I didn't dream about my future wedding or what it had to be like, and when Riley proposed I still had no idea what our wedding was going to look like, but I knew that it was going to be at the Ohio Statehouse and Style & Story Creative were going to be our photographers. A few months before Riley officially proposed he came home from a work meeting and said "Eryn, we have to get married at the Statehouse, it's beautiful. You will love it" Hearing him get so excited made me excited so I immediately got on their website and emailed their wedding and events coordinator Sophie. It just so happened that she was going to be staying late that night for an event and could give us a tour. When we finished the tour, it wasn't a question of if we get married here but when. I have to take a minute to give Sophie some amazing credit for all that she did. She really went above and beyond for us as I'm sure she does for all of her couples. Every email was answered within 24 hours and most of the time within the hour, we brought our kids with us to a few meetings due to lack of sitters and she handled their inability to sit still with grace. I really wish there was a way for me to work with her again because I would in a heartbeat. As far as Style and Story goes, there was no debate on them being a part of our big day. I have been following their work for years and I can't tell you how many times their work has brought me to tears for couples I don't even know. Riley was blown away by our pictures, I was too...but I knew they'd be amazing with Ben and Lacey behind the cameras. :)
The day was amazing and I keep trying to relive it in my head. My two best friends and I spent the night at the hotel the night before and when we woke up we just relaxed and waited for people to start showing up. The whole day really went off without any major problems. We had our favorite babysitter there just to help with the kids so that I could just relax and not have to worry too much which really made a huge difference. I was really excited to surprise Riley with his cigar bar. I wanted him to have something really cool and different - so I bought an outside patio heater which my step dad so graciously put together for me, he also helped me pick out the cigars from his local cigar shop in Tampa, FL. Riley's face when he saw it was priceless. It was by far one of the best parts of the evening. It really was such an amazing night and we feel so blessed to have such amazing friends and family there to celebrate our marriage.
As wedding planning progressed I found some of the most amazing wedding vendors here in Columbus, every single one of them I now consider a friend and would recommend them to everyone I know.
