May Events You Can't Miss
I love to get my family out enjoying new activities and new adventures all the time. I typically do my research ahead of time so that I have a good handle on the week ahead. I made a complete list of really great events for you and your family to enjoy throughout the month of May.
May 1 - May 7 2016
May 1st - March for Babies Walk
May 1st - Powell Street Market 9 am - 5 pm
May 1st - Family Day at Pizzuti Collection at 11 am
May 5th - Celebrating You (Put on by 614 Mom, TREEHIVE Cafe + Play, and Fit4Mom Columbus North) Find more information here.
May 6th/7th - Granville Barn Hop - Vintage accessories, antique furniture in 4 different bars all within a 15 minute drive.
May 6th - Spring Wine Festival at Market District. 15 wine tastings and more than 15 local food vendors. Tickets are $22 in advance or $25 at the door
May 6th - Powell Touch a Truck from 11-1. YEAH!! We love this event. Great for kids of all ages
May 7th - Worthington Farmers Market Opening Day! 8 am - noon.
May 7th - MommyMile Walk/5K 8 am - noon. Use Code 614MOM for $5 off your registration
May 7th - Short North Gallery Hop

May 8th - Happy Mother's Day! I hope each and every single one of you get the day you deserve. I hope you are celebrated and loved and enjoy every minute of your day.
May 8th - Sleeping Beauty with BalletMet - performances on May 6, 7, and 8th.
May 12 - Taste of Dine Originals 2016 at Franklin Park Conservatory - tickets are $100 and benefits both Taste of Dine Originals and Buckeye Ranch. Enjoy food from some of the most amazing restaurants in Columbus.
May 13 - 15 - CATCO Kids Sleeping Beauty - Adult Tickets $15 Children Tickets $10
May 14 - 15 Brunch around Columbus. When you brunch at a select group of Columbus restaurants a portion of your bill will benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Click here to find the list of participating restaurants. I will be using this as an excuse to brunch all weekend long so I may just run into you. :)
May 14 - Food Trucks & Science Fest - I am SO excited for this. Food Trucks meet science...my husband is going to go crazy! This event will take place behind COSI from 12 pm - 10 pm.
May 14 - Moonlight Market - The Moonlight Market happens the second Saturday of every month on Gay Street in Downtown, Columbus. Meet and shop from local artists, grab some food, and hear live music. It's a great event. 6 pm - 11 pm.
May 14 - North Market 20th Apron Gala - live music, fine wine and beer, and great local food at the city's historic market. Tickets range from $75 - $125
May 15 - May 21 2016
May 15 - Beer & Donuts at Seventh Sons Brewing Co. Tickets are $20 and you get a flight of four beers, donuts, and a brewery tour. Find more info here.
May 15 - The Little Gym Grand Re-Opening - The Little Gym of Polaris has new owners and they are amazing. Head to The Little Gym to celebrate with them on Sunday evening from 3 pm - 5 pm. I hear there are great swag bags for those who attend.

May 20 - Worthington Touch a Truck Day from 9:30 - 12. No horn hour from 9:30 - 10:30.
May 20 - Der Dutchman Heritage Day - Celebrate Plain City's Amish Heritage at this festival. Hog roast and live music.
May 21 - Der Dutchman Heritage Day - Celebrate Plain City's Amish Heritage. Horse parade, Amish buggy rides, pony rides, face paintings, petting animals, and more.
May 20 - 22 - CATCO Kids Sleeping Beauty - Adult Tickets $15 Children Tickets $10

May 26 - 10 for $10 Franklinton Wine Tasting at Rehab Tavern from 6-9
May 27 - Commons for Kids - Enjoy the Columbus Commons with your kids every Friday this summer from 10 am - 1 pm. This week there will be yoga for kids at 10:30, Lowe's will be the with a special project, enjoy the inflatables, and take a spin on the carousel.
May 28 - Family Fun Day at the Commons - 4 pm - 8 pm. This event opens at 3 for children with sensory sensitivities. There will be face painting, inflatables, arts and crafts, petting zoo and more. Some actives will require a $5 wristband. Starting at 8:15 they will be playing The Good Dinosaur so be sure to pack a picnic blanket and some snacks and enjoy the show.
May 28 - Hoot 63: Dr. Seuss at The Gateway Film Center, enjoy the short film plus music from the Shazzbots.
May 30 - A screening at AMC Lennox of Minimalism A Documentary About the Important Things.
