Discover Ivybrook Academy: A Unique Approach to Early Childhood Education

As moms, we know how challenging it can be to find the right early childhood education for our little ones. I’m thrilled to share my discovery of Ivybrook Academy, a gem in our community that honors and elevates children’s voices through a multi-sensory, discovery-based approach to early childhood education. Ivybrook Academy genuinely respects children’s interests, encouraging them to ask questions, find answers, and share their discoveries. The educators tailor lesson plans to each child's unique learning style, creating an environment where every child can thrive.

A Balanced Curriculum Tailored to Your Child

Ivybrook Academy stands out with its balanced curriculum that integrates innovative early childhood education approaches. Their customized learning methods draw from the following:

  • Montessori: This approach incorporates self-direction into the educational experience to strengthen children’s ability to consider options and make responsible choices.

  • Reggio Emilia: A child-led approach that uses observations of the children to create group learning projects that incorporate social skills.

  • Collaborative Learning: Exciting weekly themes that allow small group activities and encourage collaboration and teamwork.

  • Discovery Program: This program allows children to explore their interests deeply. It is focused on creative expression through art, music and movement, library studies, and yoga. Foreign language is also woven into the Discovery curriculum.

Ivybrook Academy's educators create intentional environments that encourage children to express their interests and construct knowledge. They emphasize a continuous cycle of learning and reflecting, meticulously documented by their educators.

New Full-Day and Half-Day Programs

Ivybrook Academy is thrilled to announce new options for families in Dublin and Powell for the upcoming school year. They now offer a full school day (8:15 am-4:15 pm) with their Bridge Program. This program allows students to join for the morning session, stay for lunch, and then participate in the afternoon session, providing a comprehensive full-day experience. The Bridge Program is available Monday-Friday for students ages three and up.

For those who prefer a shorter day, Ivybrook continues to offer their half-day option in the morning or afternoon for students ages 18 months to 5 years old. Both the half-day and full-day bridge options include their hybrid Montessori and Reggio Emilia curriculum, which encourages critical thinking, highlights creativity and fosters a love for learning. By recognizing the strengths and needs of each child, Ivybrook allows individual uniqueness to shine for all of their students.
