The Ultimate Fall Bucket List
In May I shared The Ultimate Summer Bucket List and it was a huge hit so I decided I would write one for my favorite season, Fall!! Towards the end you will find a link for a printable version so you can print it off and use it as a guide this fall.
Go apple picking (our favorite orchard is Cherry Hawk Apple Orchard but we also love Lynd's)
Jump in a pile of leaves
Donate to a local food bank
Go on a nature walk
Have a family day at the New Albany Invitational Grand Prix & Family Day on September 25
Decorate your home for fall
Bake pumpkin bread (or another fun fall treat such as apple pie)
Take a trip to Hocking Hills
Cheer on the Buckeyes!!! OH -
Have a bonfire
Visit Family
Start a gratitude journal
Enjoy some apple cider
Watch a Halloween movie (a great family choice is It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown)
Head to your favorite park and have a picnic
Boo at the Zoo
Have a cookout
Have a whole weekend of nothing but PJs, movies, cartoons, toys, and family
Make crafts with fallen leaves
Have a bonfire (and s'mores of course)
Take a trip to Young's Dairy Farm and check out their fall festival on October 1 and 2.
Carve Pumpkins
Camp out in your backyard and look up at the stars
Trick or Treat at the Franklin Park Conservatory on October 29 from 11-4
Donate your Halloween candy to the Military through a local buy back program. You can see a list from 2015 here. I will update with 2016 list as soon as I can.
Head to a fall festival
Roast Pumpkin Seeds
Harvest Fair at the Columbus Commons
Buy or make a fall scented candle
Make an apple pie or other apple treats with those apples from the Orchard
Take a drive to see the fall foliage
Visit The MAiZE at Little Darby Creek (check Groupon before heading out there)
Take a trip (or four) to a local fall farm. click the link to see a list of our favorites
Visit the Metro Parks and take an autumn colors tour.
Make a thankful tree
Celebrate National Fire Prevention Week by visiting your local Fire Department for a tour. Make sure to call ahead
Make your own pizzas at California Pizza Kitchen
Get lost in a corn maze
Take a hayride
Enjoy the Columbus Mac & Cheese Festival at Easton on October 14
Take a short drive to Canal Winchester and visit Slate Run Historical Farm
Have a peanut butter sandwich at Krema Nut Company in Grandview
Go camping
Go on a Scavenger Hunt at Homestead Metro Park - this is a family favorite. It's a fun way to explore the park and the kiddos get a prize at the end. Stop by the Nature Center for your paper.
Shop local at the Made Local Marketplace on October 1st in Powell
Run in a family race.
Make a pinecone bird feeder
Make candy apples
Make your favorite soup or stew
Road trip to the Bob Evan's Festival - October 14-16
